The Bessegen ridge trail is one of Norway's most beautiful hikes. The hike is part of a larger trek in Jotunheimen National Park, but since I was lacking a warm sleeping bag, this would not have been an option, so my friend whom I was travelling with and I decided to do only the most popular part, the Besseggen ridge trail itself which can be done in one day. The trek is one-way and connected by ferry to Gjendesheim, a small stop for tourists entering the national park where we hitchhiked to. However, since we had slept in and missed the early-morning ferry to the start of the trek, we decided to start walking in Gjendesheim and catch the ferry back. We just made it back in time for the last ferry!

Geiranger is one of Norway's most busy sights, but hiking near the cruise ship tourists' favourite destination is really beautiful. With two other German guys I went on a two-day trek up Mount Keipane and for hours we saw no other person. We enjoyed this breathtaking view from the top and then jumped into the ice-cold lake before we made our way back down to Geiranger.

This summer I hitchhiked from Germany to Norway with a friend. Near the touristy village Geiranger we found a beautiful uncrowded two-day hike. Since I was travelling light, I didn't take much of my photography gear, but luckily we met another German guy on the hike who lent me his tripod so I could capture this long exposure with my ND-filter!

Norway is one of the best places in Europe if you want to experience some beautiful and pristine nature. In Norway, wild camping is legal with little restrictions, so I set up my tent just 100m from the spot where I took this photo and fell asleep to the sound of the waterfall.

Last Summer I was hitchhiking from Germany to Norway with a friend. While waiting on the roadside somewhere in between Jotunheimen and Geiranger, I discovered this old boat that made for a great photo.
